List of African Tribes
Numerous tribes in Africa are geographically and linguistically related and often share the same traditions and customs. Since the majority of sub-Saharan African tribes originated in central and west Africa. They migrated across the continent for a variety of causes, and their shared main origin is seen in their shared root languages. The Saharan and northern tribes were influenced by Arabic in terms of language, culture, and traditions. Numerous tribal tribes felt pressure to relocate further south on the African continent as a result of the growth of Islam, the Arab slave trade, and conflict. The Khoi and San indigenous peoples of southern Africa were forced into more remote locations as a result of the spread of the central African tribes. In contrast to the majority of African tribes, the Khoi san (Bushmen) are part of a far earlier prehistoric grouping than the San. It’s noteworthy to note that the first black African tribes did not arrive in what is now known as the Transkei region of South Africa until the 16th or 17th century in the extreme southeast of southern Africa.
