Top-tier venture capital firms back Garner Health and is experiencing rapid growth. We are excited to expand our team and are currently seeking a full-time Claims Associate to join our high-growth Claims Processing team.

About the Role

As a Claims Associate, you will be at the forefront of our Claims Processing team, ensuring that our members’ claims are paid accurately and promptly.

You will evaluate claim submissions and support members through the process, striving to deliver a best-in-class “claims experience” for every member. This role requires excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluating Claims: Assess claims to determine their eligibility for reimbursement.
Member Support: Provide exceptional service via phone, chat, and email, guiding members through the Garner claims process.
Process Adherence: Follow documented best practices for handling claims and communicating with members, suggesting necessary process improvements.
Workload Management: Organize and manage your workload using Garner’s platform and tools, including Zendesk and G Suite.
Achieving Goals: Meet pre-defined claims processing volume, efficiency, and quality goals.
Issue Escalation: Triage and escalate complex and urgent member situations.
Process Knowledge: Maintain a detailed knowledge of Garner processes and healthcare billing practices.
Feedback Relay: Communicate member feedback to leadership teams to help improve Garner’s solutions.
What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities:

A passion for helping people solve their problems with creative and empathetic thinking.
Experience in a customer-facing or operations role, with a demonstrated ability to stay calm under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail, process-orientation, digital organization, and resourcefulness.
Comfort working in a rapidly evolving startup environment and dealing with some ambiguity.
A desire to contribute to our mission of improving the healthcare system.
A quiet, distraction-free work environment with a reliable internet connection (the ability to hardwire if needed is strongly preferred).
A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

The target salary range for this position is $20-22 per hour, with individual compensation depending on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws.

In addition to base compensation, this role can include participation in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans.
