A charming farmhouse with centuries of history is home to this yoga retreat. The property is completely fenced and it is nestled in an exuberant garden composed of a mix of Mediterranean and tropical flora like seasonal fruit trees such as figs and bananas, bamboo trees, colorful bougainvillea, and paradise flowers.

The property is composed of the main house, with communal spaces including a cozy and spacious living room. It has seven unique bedrooms throughout the property, from the main house to the garden’s wooden cabin. Five of them have ensuite or private bathrooms and two have a shared bathroom. All rooms are provided with air conditioning and a fan.

Additionally, there’s a swimming pool, many chill-out corners, and a rooftop for enjoying the sunrise. The yoga deck in the garden is spacious and fully equipped for your practice.

Sunset Mountain Ibiza Yoga Retreat is running its retreats on this magical island of Ibiza and they are prepared to serve and support you in finding peace and heaven within and in raising your light.

Their guests range from total beginners to experienced practitioners, from the stiff to the super flexible. Yoga is a personal journey and you will be receiving adjustments to suit your current level. Yoga retreats are a great way to experience yoga for the first time or for the more experienced, it’s an opportunity to deepen their practice.

The retreat guests come from many different backgrounds: lawyers, doctors, teachers, mothers, students, business people, retirees, in-between jobs, etc. What is most important is that they are all just really lovely people! Many guests travel alone while some guests come with friends or partners.

The Sunset Mountain Ibiza Yoga Retreat team is sure you will have a great week with them. The teacher has had extensive training and teaching experience and is certified by respective organizations.

All classes are optional. After all, this is a holiday, not a bootcamp! It is fine if you decide to sleep or spend more time on the beach in the afternoon. A big part of yoga is listening to your body’s needs and a holiday is also about rest and recharging. One of their big priorities is to make you feel at home there from the first moment.

Yoga philosophy and cosmology

During this session, you will receive important and inspiring information about yoga philosophy in relation to cosmology. The understanding of the cosmos as a vast and infinite web of light directly influences your perception of yourself as divine beings of light.

You will explore how this ancient tradition of yoga merges with modern science concepts, like quantum theories in a simple language that is accessible to anyone.

Electric body and the biofield anatomy

You will learn about the electric body and how yoga benefits not only your physical body but also your electromagnetic fields as well as the connections between the electric body, your glandular system, and brain functions.

The physical body is made of energy that vibrates very slowly, which is why it appears to physical eyes to be solid. Due to lack of information, you tend to focus exclusively on the physical aspect of yourself without recognizing that it is actually created from and sustained by the energetic layers that are outside of your normal vision.

These energetic layers create an interconnected field of energy around the physical body that is commonly known as the auric field in esoteric practices. In science, it is known as the biofield.

In this workshop, you are going to learn basic concepts of neuroscience and the new science of epigenetics in order to understand its connections with the electrical body and how to use this knowledge in improving your health and your genetic expression.

The power of the mind and beliefs

In this workshop, you will understand the properties of your conscious, subconscious, and superconscious mind and learn how to establish clear and efficient communication between them.

When the desires and aspirations of the conscious mind are not aligned with the subconscious programs and beliefs, you may face difficulties in achieving goals and substantial changes in your life. On the other hand, when the conscious and subconscious are supporting each other, your life can become a self-fulfilling prophecy instead of a day-to-day struggle.

The practical application of this ideal communication can positively affect any area of your life like your self-esteem, health, relationships, financial abundance, spirituality, etc. The information and tools you will receive in this workshop are practical and accessible for application in your daily life.

Sound philosophy

You will learn about the philosophy behind the use of sound and vibrations, frequencies, and resonance to heal the physical, mental, and emotional bodies. During this workshop, you will learn some very simple and basic concepts about sound, covering these subjects:

Sacred geometry

In this workshop, you will explore this ancient science that explains the energy patterns that create and unify all things and reveals the precise way that the energy of creation organizes itself. Each geometric shape has a specific energy vibration and intention, as well as feeling of energy.

When using them in meditation or healing, they can bring about an energetic shift in your being and in your consciousness, creating, healing, and rebalancing. You will learn not only the science of it but also how to draw some of the geometric shapes yourself for integrating them into your practices.

Yoga sessions

In the morning sessions, you will learn the practice of Yin Yang yoga, which blends two styles of yoga into one practice, bringing together the benefits of passively holding yoga poses with more dynamic sequences and standing postures.

Yin and Yang are the Taoist concepts that describe the two relative qualities present in everything. Yin is more internal, passive, cooling, and downward, while Yang is more external, dynamic, warming, and upward.

For a balanced yoga practice, you need to include both Yang and Yin aspects. Combining both elements in one class provides a balanced practice and can have a powerful effect on energy levels.

In the afternoon sessions, you will learn the practice of Yin yoga. This session is a great opportunity to truly relax, as the attention is turned inward, and the focus on the body and the present moment can help to calm the mind, increasing body awareness and decreasing stress levels.

The practice of Yin yoga can also take your flexibility to the next level. By holding each pose, you’re giving the body a chance to stretch not only the muscles, but also the connective tissue that holds everything together, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia. Yin yoga classes provide the time and place for you to just relax, breathe, and surrender to the present moment.

Sukshma Vyayamaa yoga

This is an ancient component of yoga not known to most of the schools of yoga today in the world. This was developed, designed, and propagated originally by his Holiness Maharishi Karthikeyaji Maharaj of the Himalayas.

The benefits of yogic Sukshma Vyayamaa are so great that even without practicing the rest of the aspects of Hatha yoga such as asanas, it is possible to derive extremely tangible benefits in a very quick manner. The other beautiful and more important aspect of yogic Sukshma Vyayamaa is that it is a system of exercises where each and every part of the body, including each organ, each joint, and each muscle, is taken into consideration.

Guided meditations

Throughout the week, you will learn different techniques of meditation so that you can have a better vision of the form of meditation that could be more suitable to your nature.

Daily schedule

Day 1 – Arrival day

You will be picked up from the airport by one of Sunset Mountain Ibiza Yoga Retreat’s co-workers and brought to the retreat. There will not be yoga lessons on the first day. You will be provided explanations about the week and practical information about the island and the retreat. They will also answer possible questions you may have.

During the day, fresh fruits, salads, hummus, bread, water, and herbal teas are available.
