The 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be the first to take place in the Arab world and just the second in Asia, following combined hosting effort by Japan and South Korea in 2002. 
The tournament will grow to include 48 countries starting in 2026, making this edition the penultimate to only have 32 teams.

France will be among the favorites even though no team has successfully defended the World Cup since Brazil in 1962. 

The knockout rounds are also set to include Brazil and Argentina, while Senegal may offer Africa’s best chance to win for the first time.

When is the 2022 Qatar world cup Final?

The competition began on November 20 and ends on December 18 with the championship game. 

What is the World Cup draw?

29 of the 32 teams competing in 2022 Qatar world cup at the time of writing had confirmed their participation. 
Play-offs will determine the remaining three spots, and Scotland and Wales still still have chance to qualify.

Where will matches in 2022 Qatar world cup take place?

Eight stadiums in five cities will host 2022 Qatar world cup matches, including the 80,000 seater Iconic Stadium in Lusail, which will stage the final.

The stadium is 23 kilometres north of the capital Doha, and was officially opened last November. Its design features an elaborate gold and white exterior.

Losail has been turned into a sports hub by the Qatari government and hosts Formula 1 and Moto GP races.

The other seven stadia range in capacity from 40,000 to 60,000 seats, and are located in Doha, Al Khor, Al Rayyan, and Al Wakrah.

The average ticket price has increased by 46% since the last World Cup in Russia, making the one in Qatar the most costly one yet.
The most expensive public sale ticket for the Losail final will cost just under £1,200, and smaller number of tickets have been allotted to the cheapest category section for all games.
The average ticket for the group stage will cost £126, while those for the round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship game will each cost £141.

Tickets availability

FIFA reports that about 2.9 million World Cup tickets have been purchased, with around 7% of seats remaining available.
 
The FIFA Main Ticketing Center is located in the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, where general admission tickets may be purchased.
There will be few tickets left that may be purchased via FIFA.com/tickets.
