Drake is a Nigerian: Drake Excited About The Prospect of Being a Nigerian “Naija Man”

Drake, a well-known American rapper, touched Nigerians’ hearts saying he is a Nigerian. He shared information about his background online.

According to a snapshot the well-known rapper posted on his Instagram account, he is 30% Nigerian Excitedly, Drake asked whether the outcome meant he was finally a Nigerian in the description of his photo.

Drake said that Dennis Graham, who has 30% Nigerian ancestry, is also descended from that country.

On his Instagram story, the rapper posted an image of his father’s DNA test results. On the American genealogical website Ancestry.com, the test was administered.

Drake’s father has origins in several different ethnic groups, including Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Mali, Benin, and Togo, according to DNA research.

This is my dad’s result, Drake wrote in the caption of an Instagram image. Drake seems ecstatic by the revelation. Does this finally make me a Naija man?

Drake Biography

Rapper, singer, and songwriter Aubrey Drake Graham is from Canada and was born on October 24, 1986.

Drake, a significant personality in modern popular music, is credited for making singing and R&B influences more common in hip-hop.

In 2006, he released his debut mixtape,  Room for Improvement , after becoming well-known for playing Jimmy Brooks in the CTV adolescent drama series  Degrassi: The Next Generation (2001–08)

He later joined joining Young Money Entertainment, he released the mixtapes So Far Gone (2009) and Comeback Season (2007).

Thank Me Later (2010), Take Care (2011), and Nothing Was the Same (2013), Drake’s first three studio albums, were all critically acclaimed and catapulted him to the top of the hip-hop world.

The dancehall genre was explored on his fourth album, Views (2016), which also contained the chart-topping lead song “One Dance” and stood atop the Billboard 200 for 13 weeks in a row.

This made it the first album by a male artist to do so in over ten years. The Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles “God’s Plan,” “Nice for What,” and “In My Feelings” were included in Drake’s double album Scorpion, which was released in 2018.

With its first song “Way 2 Sexy” peaking at number one, Drake’s highly anticipated sixth album, Certified Lover Boy (2021), garnered nine top ten singles on the Hot 100, breaking the previous record for the most US top-ten hits from one album.

Drake released two albums in 2022: Honestly, Nevermind, which was inspired by dance music, and Her Loss, which he co-produced with 21 Savage.

Drake, who is known for regularly releasing mixtapes alongside his albums, had success with If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late (2015) and More Life (2017).
